Registration—creating a profile with your own personal username and password—enables you to utilize the full functionality of EcoSal by having your own "Saved Searches" workspace, where you can customize your use of the information on this site. Once your institution's subscription has been activated, visit EcoSal to register. Individual subscribers will be registered by the Subscription Manager at the time their subscription is activated.
Guest
If you do not have an EcoSal subscription but would like to explore the system’s features and content, you may register as a Guest. This will enable you to view the Table of Contents and a sampling of each chapter as well as to test the Search feature.
Subscriber
The type of subscription you or your institution has purchased determines whether and how you can register.
- Individual Subscription. You are automatically registered as soon as your subscription is activated. Each time you visit the EcoSal site, you will use the login that was created for you when your subscription was activated.
- Fully Enhanced Institutional Subscription. You may choose to register at any time to create "Saved Searches" workspace. Once you have registered, the next time you visit the site, you may login with your personal username and password to access "Saved Searches" and the functionalities associated with it. Note that if you do not log in with your own username and password on subsequent visits to EcoSal your personal search data will not be saved and you will not be able to utilize the bookmark feature.
