The
EcoSal search feature enables you to:
- keep a running list of all searches made during your current session
- save searches to your profile so that you can run them again in later sessions
General Notes: The
Search functionality provides three search parameters in the form of:
- All words
- Any words
- Exact phrase
All Words To Search a word, enter the word in the "Search Keyword" text box and select "All words" under "Search Parameters."
Any Words Type in a word or words and select "Any Words" under “Search Parameters.” The engine will look for exact, full matches of each complete word.
Exact Phrase To search exact phrase, select "Exact Phrase" under “Search Parameters.” The engine will look for exact matches of that phrase.
Buttons 
"Search" activates the search function.

"Reset" clears all terms from the text field.
Case Insensitivity The search feature is not case sensitive. Users can type search terms in all capital letters, all lowercase letters, or a mixture of the two and get the same results.
Additional Features Advanced Search Access the Advanced Search by clicking the "Advanced Search" link in the Search Menu provided at the left side of the page. The Advanced Search is same as the Simple Search, except that it enables users to further narrow and limit searches to specific elements of the
EcoSal data. There are fields such as ARTICLES, TITLES, AUTHOR, and ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
- Check boxes to select or unselect fields.
- Select multiple fields to look for results matching any of your selections.
- By default, all fields are selected and all fields are searched when the
button is pressed.
History Each search that is run during a session can be found in the History section and is identified by number. The list of searches in the History section will continue to grow for the duration of your search session or until you logout from the site. To rerun a search, click the

button. To clear a search at any time, click the "Clear history" link.
Search Results This page displays the complete listing of records that pertain to a particular search.
Search Results displays modules and chapters that match a user’s search criteria and provides links to each.
MODULES appear under Web Edition results, whereas
CHAPTERS appear under Print Edition results.
Search terms within the text are highlighted in Yellow.

The Saved Searches check box enables you to save your searches.
Saved Searches All searches you have saved appear here and are saved to your profile for future sessions. The next time you visit the
EcoSal site, the same searches can be revisited. Click

to enter comments. A search can be rerun by clicking

. To save a search, click the Saved Searches check box on the search results page. The link to “Saved Searches” is available from the Search menu.
